I’m a novice seamstress, decent baker, lifelong bibliophile, amateur decorator, inspired DIY-er, incurable collector, and animal lover.  I try all of it, with varying degrees of success.  I created this blog to share some of my projects and interests.

I’m also interested in photography, and I especially enjoy photographing animals. Here’s a link to one of my sets.

I’d be lost without my sewing and baking buddy Jen.  Learning to sew is much easier when you do it with a friend. Costumes are more fun, too!

I also have to mention my doofus dog, Hamlet, who makes me smile every day and always wants to know what I’m up to when I’m making stuff.  I cannot resist posting his picture here.

I wouldn’t be attempting any of this without the influence of my mother, who inspires me to do all things creative.  She’s talented in so many ways, and I’m always trying to be more like her.

Last but certainly not least, I have to thank Dad, who always keeps up with this blog and leaves me such encouraging comments. Here’s him hanging out on the boat with Elvis:

Thanks for reading. Also, please check out my animal rescue blog at www.hardcoreanimalrescue.wordpress.com.
