Robot Baby Blanket

No, I did not make a quilt! I’m off quilts for a while, remember? This was a very simple baby blanket.

I bought this robot print flannel the day after Thanksgiving when flannel was around $1.25 a yard at Jo-Ann Fabrics. I didn’t know what I would do with it at the time, but it was too cute to pass up. Here we are, seven months later, and I finally found the perfect use for it. A coworker is having a baby boy next month, and I think she’ll love the robots!

This blanket is too simple to even bother with a tutorial. It’s just two pieces of flannel (two yards total) sewn together with bias tape around the edges. It took around two and a half hours from start to finish.

Adorable. This was the perfect project for the 4th of July, because I certainly didn’t want to leave the house! It’s about 1000 degrees outside today. I took Hamlet out for about ten minutes, but even he looked miserable (and he normally loves to bake in the sun).
