I’m so bad at taking “before” photos. I get all excited about the project and don’t remember to do it until I’ve already started to take things apart. You’ll have to use your imagination on this one. This piece of fabric used to be a skirt. I bought it at TJ Maxx for $6 because I loved the print, but it never fit well. Rather than give it away, I decided to use the fabric for something else.
This is actually two pieces stitched together to create one long rectangle.
So pretty…
I cut a piece of coordinating knit fabric to match the rectangle I cut from the skirt. Then, with the right sides together, I stitched down the long edges.
After that, I turned under the edges on both ends and stitched them in place. Super easy, huh?
Looks great with a vintage brooch, too.

Simple and pretty!
Thanks!
